PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS Bergamot essential oil is extracted from Citrus bergamia, a plant of the Rutaceae family, known for its calming and antiseptic properties. Calming: it acts on the nervous system, counteracting states of anxiety; in case of insomnia, it relaxes and induces sleep. Antiseptic: applied to the skin, after dilution, it has a powerful antibacterial and disinfectant action, in case of abscesses and acne. In vaginal washes, it is indicated against cystitis, leucorrhoea and other infections and irritations of the urogenital tract. In rinses, for gargles, it is recommended against bad breath.
