PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS

Cajeput essential oil is obtained from Melaleuca leucadendron, a plant of the Myrtaceae family. Known for its numerous properties, it is useful for the respiratory and urinary tracts and against intestinal parasites.

Analgesic: if massaged on painful areas it has an anti-inflammatory action, useful in the symptomatic treatment of headaches, joint pain, arthritis, neuralgia and gout.

Antibiotic: its vapors have a bactericidal action against some strains responsible for influenza and fever, respiratory tract and urogenital system diseases. Consequently, Cajeput essential oil finds valid application in the treatment of infections such as cystitis, urethritis or of the first part of the vaginal canal, both of bacterial and fungal origin (especially caused by the proliferation of Candida albicans).

Balsamic: the mucolytic and expectorant properties of this essence make it an effective remedy for treating inflammation of the respiratory system such as colds, sore throats, coughs.

Vasoprotector: it can be used as a decongestant and phlebotonic in case of hemorrhoids and varicose veins.

Skin soothing: in case of skin conditions, wounds, dermatosis, gum inflammation, it helps to calm redness and irritation
