Cedarwood essential oil is obtained from Cedrus atlantica, a plant of the Pinaceae family. Known for its numerous properties, it has a repellent action against insects, and anti-hair loss, in case of alopecia. Anti-hair loss: cedarwood essential oil has a rooting action on the hair root. The essence, in fact, is an excellent remedy for those who suffer from alopecia. Local application (the essential oil should be rubbed on the head, diluted in a vegetable oil) stimulates hair regrowth, because like all rubefacient essential oils, it attracts blood through the stimulation of peripheral circulation. Consequently, the skin tissues will be irrigated and oxygenated, thus promoting the nourishment of the hair, through its root. Insect repellent: it is often used as a perfume in wardrobes at the change of seasons, against moths, woodworms and other parasites, it is excellent for perfuming the house. Base note: warm, intense, balsamic, woody, sweet.
