PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS Clove essential oil is extracted from Eugenia Caryophillata, a plant of the Myrtaceae family. Known for its numerous properties, it is antiseptic, antiviral, analgesic and antispasmodic. Antiseptic: used in aromatherapy to purify the air in rooms. Antiviral: has effects against the herpes simplex virus. Analgesic: it is used to soothe toothache in case of tooth decay and has an effective localized anesthetic action, if appropriately diluted and used with a small soaked cotton ball. Antispasmodic of smooth muscles: indicated in case of abdominal pain (flatulence, intestinal cramps), muscle spasms. Diluted in a carrier oil, massaged on the abdomen or on the muscle band to be treated, it infuses a beneficial pain-relieving heat. Tonic: it has a stimulating action through its strong, intense and spicy aroma. It combats mental fatigue, drowsiness, difficulty concentrating.
