PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS

Clove essential oil It comes from the Eugenia caryophyllata plant, which has antiseptic and analgesic properties, promotes sleep and calms toothache, and fights abdominal pain.

Antiseptic: It is used in aromatherapy to purify the air in rooms.

Antiviral: has effects against herpes simplex viruses.

Analgesic: used to soothe toothache in case of tooth decay. Better if diluted so as not to irritate the mucous membranes, with a small cotton ball soaked in it it exerts an effective localized anesthetic action.

Smooth muscle antispasmodic: indicated in case of abdominal pain (flatulence, intestinal cramps), muscle spasms. Diluted in a carrier oil, clove essential oil, massaged on the abdomen or on the muscle area to be treated, infuses a beneficial pain-relieving heat.

USE AND PRACTICAL ADVICE

Environmental diffusion: pour 5 drops of essential oil for each square meter of the room; use in the essential oil burner or in the water of radiator humidifiers.

Gargling Solution: 3 drops added to a spoonful of apple cider vinegar and poured into a glass of water, have a disinfectant and healing action on the gums.

Massage lotion: 1-2 drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of vegetable oil are useful for massaging the pacia in case of intestinal spasms or on sore muscles. It generates a pleasant heat that penetrates deeply and dissolves tension.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It can cause an irritant effect on skin and mucous membranes at low doses and hepatotoxicity at higher doses. It is not recommended for use in cases of dermatitis, gastric and intestinal inflammation. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Contraindicated in children under 5 years of age.
