PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS Lavender essential oil is extracted from the inflorescences of a hybrid species, Lavandula hybrida, obtained by crossing true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia), subjected to steam distillation. In aromatherapy, Lavender is often used as a relaxant, to calm the spirit and induce sleep. Calming, sedative, muscle relaxant, hypotensive, antineuralgic, antibacterial, healing, antispasmodic. Calming and sedative: widespread in environments, it can be useful for combating bronchitis and coughs, thanks to its balsamic properties. Antiseptic: useful on wounds, it helps healing and combats mycosis.
