PROPERTIES AND BENEFITS Lemon essential oil is extracted from the fruits of Citrus Limonum, a plant of the Rutaceae family. Known for its antiseptic, toning, purifying and anti-inflammatory properties. Antiseptic: very useful from the first appearance of flu symptoms, such as fever, cold, cough and sore throat, to combat infections in case of wounds, mouth ulcers, cold sores and inflamed gums. Toning: massaged, it combats disorders due to poor circulation, such as heavy legs, edema, cellulite, varicose veins, capillary fragility and chilblains. Purifying: a few drops, in the preparation of clay masks, are useful to combat acne, oily and impure skin. Lemon essence also has lightening properties, promotes the formation of new epidermal cells, fights the processes of cellular aging, while promoting healing. For this reason, it is indicated for skin with sun or age spots, wrinkles and stretch marks. Furthermore, it is an excellent strengthener for weak or thin nails.
